This is the first edition of MTC since before Thanksgiving last fall…time flies when you’re having fun!! As some of you may have read recently, we have been busy integrating the clients and team members of another financial advisor, and dear friend’s, business that we are merging into Legacy Capital Planners. This has been an exciting, albeit time and energy consuming, process, and I’ve been a bit distracted from my typical writing.

As I’ve been reflecting on the past 3 months, I’m recognizing the new chapters of my own story that have been written. I’m acknowledging how we’ve been blessed with lots of new relationships. I’m grieving some of the cherished relationships that have ended or transitioned. I’m reveling in the personal growth and development I’ve experienced. I’m challenged by the areas of my own life and family and business and friends where I still have so much more room to grow. In this time of reflection, more than anything, I’m grateful!

Today’s edition of MTC is a simple encouragement for you to consider the chapter of life you’re in currently, the chapters that have been written recently, and those yet to be written in your story. In our overstimulated, fast-paced, always-on world, we sometimes forget to pause and recognize how the plot line of our life story is developing.

Here are a few items to consider if you’re willing to review the story of your life so far:

  1. Where do you find yourself right now? What is happening that is joyful, hurtful, exciting, or frustrating?

  1. What have been some of the highlights (and low points) of your journey up to now? What have you grown through, and what are you still hanging onto, that is affecting your current reality?

  1. What is coming up that you’re excited about? What scares you about your future? What circumstances are you hoping will come to fruition so your story continues the way you desire?

One of the absolute joys of my life has been the opportunity to be alongside so many wonderful people as their story develops. While we handle financial planning and wealth management, one of the most important facets of comprehensive wealth is the story people live for the benefit of their family, friends, and community. If you’re a client of our firm…thank you for that opportunity to be alongside you as you live your legacy!

Make it a great week!
