MY TWO CENTS:
A couple of Saturdays ago we had the opportunity to host our annual Christmas Wreath giveaway and donation drive. The bright sun warmed up the chill in the air and it was wonderful to see so many smiling, festive faces telling stories about their plans for the holiday season and end of the year. Of course, donuts and hot cider help put a smile on folks’ faces, too!
This was our first year combining our wreath giveaway with a charitable donation drive. We asked for folks who were able and interested to donate diapers and wipes to a local place-based ministry called Streams. The team of staff and volunteers at Streams are doing amazing work functioning as the healthy neighborhood hub in the nearby Townline community in the Kentwood school district. Since diapers and wipes are not a typical food pantry item, the pantry at Streams typically purchases these to keep them in stock. The donations from our wonderful guests will allow them to help some local families take better care of their little ones during this holiday season.
If you’d like to learn more about Streams and see some of the work they’re doing, please feel free to visit www.streamsgr.org. And, if you missed out on our event this year, please keep your eye peeled for our pre-registration request (so we can order enough wreaths) and event invitation next fall.
This will be our last MTC edition of the year, so please allow me to say thank you for taking the time to read our ramblings throughout the year. We hope they have added some value to your life, and look forward to being here to provide support for 2023 and well beyond. If ever we can do anything to help you better focus on your priorities and cultivate your purpose, please reach out to us!
Merry Christmas, and make it a great week!
